Objectives
Any awareness -raising action to society to raise awareness of inequalities that produce discrimination and mark the importance of human rights.
Graphic humor is a visual journalistic genre of civic denunciation and commitment that seeks to contribute to reflection on peace, human rights and social justice.
In each edition (biennial competition) a topic linked to human rights is chosen and an international call of artists participating is made by sending their works related to the chosen theme.
Actions
– Opening events: Each edition of Montalía, an opening ceremony after the process of selecting the works that will be part of the exhibition. The theme of the exhibition in educational centers and spaces where the works are exhibited.
Description
Graphic art is a universal tool for social transformation, which directly appeals to emotion, while also synthesizing and promoting reflection on the structural causes of inequalities and providing debates on the actions needed for Fight. Education is a key element in avoiding attitudes that promote discrimination and humor becomes a very useful tool to accompany the educational and pedagogical process, and also very close to a young audience, attracted by visual art. . P>
MATERIALS
Exhibitions of 50 DIN-A3 Size, online catalog and printed catalogs of each edition, which are used for dissemination, but also by mail to artists whose works have been selected.
